Bathrooms for Sperry homes
Safer showers, tub conversions and full remodels for Sperry homeowners, planned around the person who uses the room.
A safer bathroom, one step at a time
Many Sperry homeowners plan to stay right where they are. We fix what is hard about the bathroom today, like a high tub wall or a low toilet, and build it so the next step is easy. We drive up from Tulsa for every estimate.
Great customer service, i will definitely recommend them around
Before anyone measures your bathroom, you should know who they are. Here is a customer video, the owner who answers your call, and three Google reviews in the customers' own words.
I donโt think you could find anybody any better to work with than these people. The homeowners, in their video review
Jeremy grew up in Tulsa and learned the trade at 16 under a local builder. He also sits on the board of Tulsa Senior Compass, a nonprofit that helps families with senior care decisions. At your house he says what he would do in that bathroom, and what he would not.
Meet JeremyThe owners and staff were very respectful and they are the kind of people you recommend to others!
OK Bath Pros does a great job! We recommend them for bathroom remodeling!
I was impressed and pleased with the quick response. The owner was friendly!
We remodel bathrooms in Sperry houses, and restrooms in the town's shops, offices, churches and public buildings. Choose the one you need.

Single-user and multi-stall restrooms for Sperry shops, churches and offices: ADA clearances, fixtures, partitions, floors and tile.
Sperry is small, about 1,100 people, and its numbers look different from Tulsa's: more households with an older adult and more houses from the boom years. Here is what the public record shows, and what it means for a bathroom.
Sperry, in four numbers
What that means for a Sperry bathroom
Sperry grew into a retirement community in later decades, the state's encyclopedia notes, and the Census still shows it: about 4 in 10 homes have someone 65 or older. What people ask us for here is less about looks and more about the tub wall, the toilet height and a place to sit. We start with whatever is hard today.Source 2
A lot of Sperry went up after the 1955 sewer bond and the 1964 water connection. Bathrooms from those decades are often compact, with one tub and a shower over it. A walk-in shower can usually go into the tub's own footprint, so the walls and the door stay where they are.Source 2
In a small house with a single bathroom, the question everyone asks first is where they will go during the work. When we remodel the only bathroom in a Sperry home, the toilet stays usable through the job. The shower is what you go without, and your quote says for how long.
Sperry buys its water from Tulsa, and its 2023 to 2025 testing found lead and copper well under the federal action levels, with no site over. The town's report notes that lead comes mostly from service lines and home plumbing. In a house from the 1940s or 50s, once the wall is open, we bring the supply lines and the shower valve up to current standards and code.Source 3
Sperry sits on State Highway 11, about ten miles north of downtown Tulsa. We are based in Tulsa and come up for the estimate, the work and any warranty call. Whoever you hire, ask who will answer the phone about that shower a year from now.Source 2

Most families do not need to do everything at once. Here is what each step fixes, who it suits, and where we would push back. Plenty of people stop at step one or two, and that is fine.
For someone still steady on their feet who has started bracing on the towel bar.
For anyone who has stopped bathing in the tub, or dreads the climb over its wall.
When a walker or wheelchair is part of daily life, or a doctor says it soon will be.
Every price here is rounded from a quote a customer signed. Our minimum job is $2,500 to $5,000, so step 1 often rides along with step 2.
| Step 1: small fixes | Step 2: tub to walk-in shower | Step 3: fully accessible | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it fixes | Slipping, bracing, a toilet that sits too low | The climb over the tub wall | Walkers, wheelchairs and shower chairs |
| Who it suits | Someone steady who wants support | Someone who showers standing or seated | Someone who rolls in, or bathes with help |
| What gets opened up | Small openings for blocking | The tub, its surround and the wall behind | Usually the floor too, for the slope |
| A recent job of ours | Priced after we see the room | About $7,000 to $7,500 (a Bixby walk-in shower that replaced a worn stall) | About $7,000 to $8,500 (Glenpool roll-in) |
We have no finished job in Sperry to show yet. These three are the closest to the steps above, each with its scope and, where there was a signed quote, its price range.
The Tinker Federal Credit Union Foundation asked us to build an accessible shower for a Korean War veteran in Glenpool, within a nonprofit budget. The corner jacuzzi tub came out, and a curbless roll-in shower with grab bars went in its place.
A Bixby homeowner's master shower was a worn acrylic stall with a step-over threshold. We built a tiled walk-in shower with a half-inch ledge a wheelchair can cross, grab bars, a niche and a light overhead.
A fiberglass tub and shower combo with a curtain, in a Bixby home. We turned it into a tiled walk-in shower with marble-look walls, a pebble mosaic floor, corner shelves and a hand shower on a slide bar.
It depends on how far you go. Our minimum job is $2,500 to $5,000, and most full remodels run $10,000 to $25,000. For a shower, most of the price is the tile work and what turns up behind the old tub, and a curbless entry costs more than a low curb because the floor has to be sloped. A walk-in shower we built in Bixby came to about $7,000 to $7,500. What moves the number.
Yes, and most start smaller than people expect: a hand shower, grab bars on blocking and a taller toilet, then a walk-in shower once the tub gets hard. If this is for your mom or dad, have them at the visit or on the call. The bathroom should fit the person who uses it, not the person who pays for it.
Yes. The tub comes out, the wall behind it is rebuilt with foam or cement board and sealed with a waterproofing membrane, and a tiled shower with a low entry, a seat and a hand shower goes into the same space. Plan on about a week of work, longer if we find water damage. Tub to shower conversion.
Yes, as part of a bathroom job. Bars go on wood blocking inside the wall, where the person actually reaches, and shower floors get small tile with plenty of grout lines for grip. One grab bar on its own falls under our minimum job, so we usually fit them along with a shower or tub change.
It can, for a veteran, when a VA doctor writes a prescription for it, for a medical reason. The HISA benefit has a lifetime limit of $6,800 for a service-connected disability or one rated 50% or more, and $2,000 otherwise. We do not cut material to fit the limit: anything beyond what the VA approved is gone over with you line by line. How we work with the VA.
Not ourselves. If you want to spread the cost, take our itemized quote to a local lender such as Tulsa Teachers Credit Union, Arvest or Regent Bank.
Yes. For a shop, office, church or public building we plan clearances, grab bars, fixture heights and signs to meet the 2010 ADA Standards, and we schedule around your hours. Where there are two restrooms, one can stay open while we work on the other, if you want. Expect 2 days to a week for a typical restroom. ADA restroom compliance.

Work usually starts 1 to 2 weeks after you approve. Cement board and a waterproofing membrane go in every wet area, never sheetrock or green board. A full remodel runs about a week, up to two for intricate tile.
